He was predeceased by: his parents, Roy Sturgill and Ruth Sturgill of Pound, Virginia; his daughter Nancy Elizabeth; his grandson Jason Renfro; and his sisters, Helen Gardner and Hazel BeCraft.
He is survived by: his wife Nancy Collier; his children, Kim, Kevin (Krystal), Chris, Kelli (Paul), Cari (Jack), Pop, Kayla, Justin, Christopher, Dalton, Nate, Alex and Jordan; and his siblings, Paul Sturgill, Anna Hampton and Rita Salyers. He is also survived by other relatives and friends.
