She was predeceased by: her parents, James F. Workman Jr. and Nannie Salyer Workman. She is survived by: her husband Dennis Carter; her children, Christy Massie (Bram) of Wise, VA, Travis Carter of Wise, VA, Jessica Carter of Wise, VA and Ashley Carter of Wise, VA; and her sister Sue Workman Rose. She is also survived by seven grandchildren; one great-grandchild.
