She was predeceased by: her parents, Charles Kelson Stallard, Sr. and Helen Colyer Stallard; and her former husband Ronald Howell, Sr.. She is survived by: her husband Larry Edward Baker; her children, Kathy Brooks (Dale) of Wise, VA, Ronald Howell (Lea Ann) of Norton, VA, Mark Howell of Norton, VA, Dr. Jessica Baker (Dave Schaller) of Langhorne, PA and Shannon Baker (Priya) of Langhorne, PA; her brothers, Charles K. Stallard, Jr. (Loretta) of Alton, VA, John Stallard (Janice) of Wise, VA and Thomas Stallard (Irina) of Wise, VA; her granddaughter Lauren Brooks; her sister-in-law Leda Dingus; her close friends, Sandra Beverly, Ellie Castle, Sharon Stanley, Linda Wampler and Andrea Wampler; and her pet Popcorn. She is also survived by three great grandchildren.
Because Barbara was an advocate of animal rescue, in lieu of flowers, the family requests that donations can be made to PAWS of SWVA, Inc., PO Box 576, Coeburn, VA 24230.
