He was predeceased by: his wife Ruby Pauline Calhoun Mefford; his parents, Joseph Gus and Mildred Matilda Wells Mefford; and his brothers, Harold Mefford, Eddie Wayne Mefford, Louis Lester Mefford and Lacy Doyal Mefford.
He is survived by: his sisters, Christine Hawkins and Pricilla Earnis; and his girlfriend Sally. He is also survived by other relatives and friends.
