He is survived by: his wife Debbie Carter (Campbell); his children, Amy Markland (Michael), Travis (Sarah) and Jeffrey (Amy); his siblings, Bettie Powell (Glenn), Donna Hatcher (Richard), Cameron (Reta), Wilson, Roger (Barbara) and Milton (Connie); his grandchildren, Kristen Giarla (Jon), Matthew Carter (Miranda), Timothy Carter, Grace Markland, Callie Markland, Katherine Carter and Molly Carter; and his great grandchildren, Hudson Giarla and Delaney Carter. He is also survived by nieces, nephews, cousins, friends.
