With heavy hearts, we announce the death of Jimmy Modlin (Windsor, Virginia), born in Hertford, North Carolina, who passed away on January 23, 2020 at the age of 89. Leave a sympathy message to the family on the memorial page of Jimmy Modlin to pay them a last tribute.
He was predeceased by: his parents, Clarence Elmer and Lula Caroline Hughson Modlin; his siblings, Shelton Modlin, O'Dell Mitchell, Deanie Perry and Thelma Ewell; and his son-in-law Steven Patrick.
He is survived by: his wife Anna Catheryn Griner Modlin; his daughters, Debra G. Patrick of Welaka, FL, Carrie M. Hearn of Windsor, VA and Jennifer M. Simpson (Keith) of Suffolk; his sister Javan Beitinger of Anchorage, AK; and his sister-in-law Betty Modlin. He is also survived by several nieces, nephews, and extended family.
