He was predeceased by: his parents, James Lonnie Carr and Nancy Verna Bradshaw Carr; and his brother William Lonnie Carr. He is survived by: his wife Nita Vick Carr; his sons, James Vernon "Jim" Carr, Jr. (Farrah) of Suffolk and William Tracy Carr (Candice) of Windsor; and his grandchildren, Kristin, Jordan, Austin, Brennen, Melissa and Tiffany Carr. He is also survived by several nieces and nephews.
The family will receive friends Wednesday from 6 to 8 PM at the funeral home and suggests that memorial donations be made to Colosse Baptist Church, 6361 Rhodes Dr., Windsor, VA 23487.
