She was predeceased by: her parent Thomas Eley Newsome; her husband William Rosco Ellis; her stepson Robert Ellis; and her sister Peggy Irene Powers. She is survived by: her parent Ida Beatric West Newsome; her sons, Ronald Cary Pierce (Hattie), Thomas Ray Pierce (Karen) and William Austin Ellis; and her stepdaughter Jenne Priest (Dannis). She is also survived by numerous grandchildren, great grandchildren, and great great grandchildren.
