We are sad to announce that on January 20, 2022, at the age of 69, Hope Thompson Leland of Windsor, Virginia passed away. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.

She was predeceased by: her parents, Wilbur Lafayette Thompson, Jr. and Betty Rogers Thompson; her daughter Katherine Thompson Leland; and her brother Bruce Wayne Thompson. She is survived by: her husband Glenn J. Leland; her son Jay Matthew Leland; her siblings, Wilbur L. Thompson (Bur) and Jane T. Brown; her stepchildren, Pamela Trevathan (William) and James Leland; and her grandchildren, Finley Grace Trevathan and Emerson Marie Trevathan. She is also survived by numerous nephews and nieces.

In lieu of flowers, the family asks memorial donations be made to The Gideons International, Smithfield Camp, P.O. Box 274, Smithfield, VA 23431.
