It is with deep sorrow that we announce the death of Elliott Russell Laine Jr. (Windsor, Virginia), who passed away on January 8, 2020, at the age of 92, leaving to mourn family and friends. You can send your sympathy in the guestbook provided and share it with the family.

He was loved and cherished by many people including: his parents, Elliott Russell Laine, Sr. and Mary Herbert Watkins Laine of Windsor, Virginia.; his sons, E. Randolph Laine of Carlsbad, Wesley B. Laine of Virginia Beach and S. Eric Laine of Cardiff; and his brother Herbert W. Laine of Chesapeake, Virginia.. He was also cherished by three grandchildren.

“Please accept my condolences. I only knew him in Newport long ago, as "Colonel" and "yessir Colonel." And he was a complex man; but he only did his best I suspect. That was a good long life. He looked well in the photos I saw. I know he made his sacrifices and gather he made his share of mistakes—as well all do. For me he's a very valuable and key memory.
