He was predeceased by: his parents, Claude Thomas Parker and Florine Adell Rhodes Parker; and his brothers, Franklin Gilmer Parker and George Thomas Parker. He is survived by: his wife Josie Joyner Parker; his children, Jeannette P. Fritts, Jeffrey W. Parker (Pam) and Joseph C. Parker (Gwen); and his grandchildren, Matthew T. Fritts, Paige E. Fritts, Jerry W. Chapman (Chelsea) and Aaron M. Warner. He is also survived by three great grandchildren.
The family will receive friends from 6 to 8 PM Monday January 9, 2023 in Wright Funeral Home and suggests that memorial donations be made to the Colosse Baptist Church Building Fund or the Masonic Home of Virginia, 4101 Nine Mile Rd, Richmond, VA 23223.
