He was predeceased by: his parents, Paul A. Nogiec and Marie Lowe Nogiec. He is survived by: his wife Jane Tremel Nogiec; his son Seth Nogiec (Alison); his grandchildren, Madelyn Nogiec, Devin and Miles; his brother Robert Nogiec (Evelyn); and his nephews, Jason and Adam.

In lieu of flowers, the family requests that donations be made in Alan's memory to the Virginia Association of Fairs Scholarship Fund.
