He was predeceased by: his wife Lois Mae Melin. He is survived by: his children, Marcia Lacy Melin of Los Osos and Steven Robert Pieper of Strasburg; and his sister Betsy Priggie of Apple Valley, Minnesota.. He is also survived by four grandchildren, six great grandchildren.
