It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Wilbur Sell Johnston (Winchester, Virginia), who passed away on February 23, 2023, at the age of 97, leaving to mourn family and friends. He was predeceased by: his parents, Wilbur R. Johnston and Vergie Carpenter Johnston; his wife Nancy S. Johnston; his brothers, Dr. Charles E. Johnston and Ronald E. Johnston; and his former wife Edith Whitmore Johnston of Clear Brook, VA..
He is survived by: his sister Helen J. Steele (Dannie Steele); his children, Nancy W. Johnston (Ron Shifflett) of Warrenton, VA, Alan (Brenda Johnston), Steve (Ellen Nicholson), Dave Nicholson of Purcellville, VA, Laurie (Jose Bautista) and Prof; and his grandchildren, Reagan Johnston, Mary (Patrick Maclaine), Solomon (Missy Adams), Katie (Brian Gnegy), Ron Shifflett, Jr., Renee Shifflett, Ryan Shifflett, Christine (Devin Anonsen), Jacob Nicholson, Jackie Bautista and David (Hanna Bautista). He is also survived by many great grandchildren.
