He was predeceased by: his parents, Lester G. McDonald and Ellen Arline Goddard (Haines); and his siblings, Janie Shrout and Frank McDonald. He is survived by: his wife Ella Mae; his sons, Melvin Wayne McDonald (Kristi) of Stephens City, VA, Marshall Randolph McDonald (Gay) of Stephens City, VA and Matthew David McDonald (Jennifer) of Clear Brook, VA; his grandchildren, Mollie, Julia, Ashlynn (Jesse), Justin, Liam, Raegan and Caila; and his sisters, Georgia Hodson and Hazel Beatley.
