He was predeceased by: his parents, Virgil Heishman and Daisy Heishman; and his siblings, Betty Heishman, James, Marvin and Terry Heishman.
He is survived by: his children, Shari Salmon of Winchester, VA and Brian Heishman of Gerrardstown, WV; and his siblings, Janet Cirrani (Thomas) of Middletown, VA and Cecil Heishman. He is also survived by six grandchildren; six great-grandchildren and many nieces and nephews.
