It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Raymond Edward Hess of Winchester, Virginia, born in Summerhill, Pennsylvania, who passed away on March 6, 2023, at the age of 78, leaving to mourn family and friends. He was predeceased by: his parents, James Logan and Viola Mae Butler Hess; and his siblings, William Gene Hess, Lawrence Hess, Samuel Hess and Sandra Hess.
He is survived by: his wife Sonya Mullenax Hess; his children, Raymond Hess Jr. (Sue), Sonya Harsomchuck (David) and Lauri A. Clark (Jeffrey); his grandchildren, Matt, Dana, Bridgette, Cody, Emily, Kait (Zach), Alexis (Cody) and Alyssa; his great grandchildren, Braxton and Oaklee; and his siblings, James L. Hess, Jr. and Patricia Hess Kolar.
