He was predeceased by: his father Edgar A. Shifflett. He is survived by: his mother Thelma F. Shifflett; his wife Lorraine "Kay"; his daughters, Amy D. O'Connor (Sean) and Amber K. Rieger (Billy); his grandchildren, McKayla, Jaiden, Rylee O'Connor, Brenton and Breely Rieger; and his siblings, Brenda Welsh (Donnie), Jeffery Shifflett and Connie Miller (Steve).
