He was predeceased by: his parents, Orva Justin Mauzy and Lena Leota Feaster Mauzy; his wife Dixie Mauzy (Riggleman); and his siblings, James Mauzy, Carl Mauzy, Ronald Mauzy, Virgil Mauzy, Raymond Mauzy, Viola Mae Mongold, Ada Rae Thorne, Carrie Bergdoll and Mary Alice Conrad.
He is survived by: his children, Gregory Mauzy (Sharon) of Winchester, Christine Susan Thomas (Robert) of Fredericksburg, VA and Cindy Mayer (Michael) of Carlisle, PA; his grandchildren, Scott Thomas, Michael Mayer Jr., Kristel Rynard, Melissa Mayer, Samantha Mauzy, Mitchell Hanks and Josephine Hanks; and his great grandchildren, Wyatt Mayer, Landen Mayer, Mark Rynard, Isaiah Rynard, Hannah Rynard and Adalee Sowers.
Visitation was held on Saturday, February 1st 2025 from 11:00 AM to 1:00 PM at the Schaeffer Funeral Home (11 N Main St, Petersburg, WV 26847). A funeral service was held on Saturday, February 1st 2025 at 1:00 PM at the same location.
