She was predeceased by: her parents, Joseph John and Ella Marie Holthaus (Hartbecke); her grandson Brian David Moon; and her siblings, Coelo Ruth Shoemaker (Holthaus), Reuben Simon Henry Holthaus, Viola Lydia Holthaus Rigney, Ray Joseph Holthaus and Carl Clarence Holthaus.

She is survived by: her husband Milton Lewis Moon; her children, David Milton (Grace Ann), James Alan (Terry Lyn), Elizabeth Kay Moon (Timothy Robert Shipe) of Iowa City and Jonathan Edward (Mary Kathleen); and her grandchildren, Christina Lynn Moon, Anya Elizabeth Moon (Kendric Zellner), Jared Christopher (Katelyn), Alexander Jonathan Moon (Ashley Turner-Moon) and Ryan Christopher Moon. She is also survived by seven great-grandchildren; and numerous nieces and nephews.
