He was predeceased by: his parents, Stuart E. Pope and Lelia Affleck Pope; his wife Doris E. Werdebaugh Pope; his son Monte S. Pope; and his sister Lucille Pope Giffin.
He is survived by: his daughter-in-law Sherry; his children, Gregg W. Pope (Sherry) of Winchester, VA, Pamela P. Snapp (Jerry) of Washington, NC and Michele P. Melina (Rob) of Winchester, VA; and his daughter-in-law Rene L. Pope of Stephens City, VA.
