He was predeceased by: his parents, Luther "Butch" Goldizen and Angie Jane Goldizen (Barger); his son Lee Allen Goldizen II; and his son-in-law John W. Edge. He is survived by: his close friend Brenda; his daughters, Lucretia "LuAnn" Goldizen Edge and Dr. Cristina Goldizen (W. Thomas Berrett); his granddaughter Samantha Leigh Berrett; and his sister Carolyn Nelson (Robert) of Centreville, VA..
