He was predeceased by: his parents, John Willingham and Ada Symons Willingham of Clarke County; and his brother Alvin Willingham. He is survived by: his wife Elizabeth Burks Willingham; his children, John (April) of Winchester and Kimberley Funk of Frederick, MD; his grandson Zachary; his siblings, Larry Willingham (Gail) of Fredericksburg, VA and Nancy Willingham of Berryville, VA.; and his grandchildren, Jetta, Maria, Carlos, Sloane, Bella, Reese, Chrystian, Autumyn, Bibi and Arden.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made in John's memory to backpack program which helps feed local children at the Duncan Memorial United Methodist Church, 210 E Main Street, Berryville, VA 22611.
