He was predeceased by: his parents, Ethel Marple, and Elmer Marple, Sr.; his sister Dorothy; and his brother-in-law Granville Donald. He is survived by: his wife Peggy Shade; his daughters, Sonya M. Cain (David Rickard) of Stephens City and Brunnae M. Lowery of Stephens City, Virginia; and his grandchildren, Sasha Rae Hurst (Jason) of Inwood, Sean Michael Cain (Abby) of Middletown and Joel Daine Lowery (Amanda) of Stephenson, Virginia.
