He was predeceased by: his parents, John Edward Barnett and Madelyn Strode Barnett. He is survived by: his wife Maxine Butler Barnett; his children, Doug Barnett of Stephens City, Greg Barnett (Tami) of Winchester and Jae Hinson (Jeff) of Winchester; his sister Anne Green of Berryville; and his grandchildren, John Barnett, Chad Hinson, Steven Barnett and Allison Wasser.
Visitation was held on Friday, November 8th 2024 from 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM at the First Baptist Church (205 W Piccadilly St, Winchester, VA 22601). A funeral service was held on Friday, November 8th 2024 at 11:00 AM at the same location. A burial was held on Friday, November 8th 2024 at the Mount Hebron Cemetery (305 E Boscawen St, Winchester, VA 22601).
