He was predeceased by: his parents, Melvin McIntire and Ruth McIntire (Michael); his former wife Bonnie McIntire; and his brother Sylvester "Dump" McIntire. He is survived by: his wife Phyllis Ward; his daughters, Shannon Lockhart (Scott) and Stacy Snapp (Mike); his grandchildren, Kristle Snapp, Cody Snapp (Kelsie), Whitney Lockhart (Carla) and Katie Lockhart; his great grandchildren, Levi, Luke, Hayleigh, Aubrey, Jake, Holdon and Kolton; and his siblings, Bonnadean "Bonnie" Carter and Robert McIntire (Judy).
Visitation was held on Saturday, November 16th 2024 from 10:00 AM to 11:30 AM at the Amherst Chapel (1600 Amherst St, Winchester, VA 22601). A funeral service was held on Saturday, November 16th 2024 at 11:30 AM at the same location. A burial was held on Wednesday, November 20th 2024 at 11:00 AM at the Mount Olive Cemetery (327 Mt Olive Rd, Winchester, VA 22602).
