David Laurence Groves Obituary
With heavy hearts, we announce the death of David Laurence Groves of Winchester, Virginia, born in East Millinocket, Maine, who passed away on May 9, 2023 at the age of 65. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
He was predeceased by: his father Dr. Richard Groves; his brother John Davis Groves; and his granddaughter Emma Faith Groves. He is survived by: his mother Shirley R. Bond Groves of Cromwell, CT.; his wife Sandra Joy Surpless Groves; his children, Jonathan Groves (Whitney) of Stephens City, VA, Nathaniel Groves (Montana) of Romney, WV and Andrea Groves (William) of Beavercreek, Ohio; his grandchildren, Vera Grace Groves, Allie Hope Groves, John Taylor Groves, Emmett Parker Groves and Rezmaee Corbin; his siblings, Susan Groves Watt (Dave) of Vero Beach, FL and Brian Groves of Newington, CT; and his sister-in-law Lori Groves of Indian Trail, NC. He is also survived by numerous nieces and nephews.
Dave was one of the first people I met when I joined NFCU and one of the few that showed up at the office post pandemic.
