He was predeceased by: his brother Juan Chavez. He is survived by: his parents, Daniel Chavez and Brenda Lee Sampson Chavez; his wife Dawn Marie Jones Chavez; his son Trystan Lee Chavez; and his mother-in-law Ella Silvious Bavaro. He is also survived by several aunts, uncles, and cousins.
