He was predeceased by: his parents, Thurman E. Kerns and Elsie Juanita Kerns; and his brother Clayton Kerns. He is survived by: his spouse Beverly Clark Kerns; his sons, Douglas L. Kerns of Winchester, VA and Dennis W. Kerns (Laura) of Knoxville, TN; his siblings, Charlotte Kerns of Berkeley Springs, WV, Curtis Kerns of Cross Junction, VA and Catherine Heironimus of Berkeley Springs, WV; and his grandson Jared Kerns.
Visitation will be held on Monday, January 20th 2025 from 1:00 PM to 2:00 PM at the Giffin Funeral Home & Crematory (2807 Northwestern Turnpike, Capon Bridge, WV 26711). A funeral service will be held on Monday, January 20th 2025 at 2:00 PM at the same location.
