Keeling Jr.; his nephews, James Carter Moses Jr. and Scott Cather Keeling; and his cousin Retha Athey Shirkey.
He is survived by: his wife Patricia Jane Shelburne; his children, Charles Shelburne Cather (Angila) of Pensacola and Cynthia Cather Burton (Jim) of Winchester; his grandchildren, Charles Shelburne Cather II, Elizabeth Joyce Cather of Pensacola, Catherine Cather Burton and James Gordon Burton III of Winchester; and his sister Judith Cather Keeling of Virginia Beach.
Memorials may be made to Blue Ridge Hospice, which enabled Mr. Cather to pass away peacefully at home surrounded by family, or to First Presbyterian Church.
