Carrie Louise Redman Obituary
Carrie Louise Redman, 87, of Petersburg, W.Va., died Monday, March 21, 1994, at Winchester Virginia Regional Medical Center, Winchester, Va.
Born on January 27, 1907, in Petersburg, she was a daughter of the late Arch B. Redman and Anna Elizabeth (Reel) Redman. In addition to her parents she also was preceded in death by her husband, Alexander (Beckwith) Redman, on May 30, 1982; one son, James C. Redman; seven brothers, William Redman, Holmes Redman, Page Redman, Emmitt Redman, John Redman, Charles Redman and Olie Redman, and five sisters, Jennie Redman, Lena Redman, Cora Redman, Anna Redman and Grace Groves.
Mrs. Redman was a member of the Church of the Lord Jesus Christ, Petersburg. She was one of 13 children, and was the last of the tribe to pass away, which means all of Arch and Anna's children are all back at home!
Surviving are one daughter, Vera M. Majett, of Washington, DC; one son, William I. Redman, of Petersburg; 14 grandchildren, 12 great-grandchildren and two great-great-grandchildren.
Services were made at the Schaeffers Funeral Home in Petersburg, were friends and family will be received on Wednesday from 2 until 4 and 7 until 9 pm. A funeral service will be held there on Thursday at 2 pm. Pastor Calvin Redman will officiate.
Interment will be in the Maple Hill Cemetery.
