It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Anne Simmons Finley of Winchester, Virginia, born in Washington, District of Columbia, who passed away on October 6, 2023, at the age of 95, leaving to mourn family and friends. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
She was predeceased by: her parents, John Farr Simmons (Malcolm Simmons) and Nancy Robinson Fleming; her siblings, Samuel, Barbara and Frances; and her daughter Louise.
She is survived by: her husband John George Gilpin Finley; her son James Finley; her grandchildren, Dana Morrison (Logan) and Grace (Andrew); her son Peter Finley (Macon) of Pittsburgh, PA; her grandchildren, Lynn Wright (Josh), Cory and Thomas (Cathy); her great grandchild Georgia Jane Wright; her sisters, Julie and Sophie; and her children, Samuel, Peyton, Sarah, Nancy, Barbara (BZ), John, George (Barney), Daniel, Henry (Whits) and Sam.
