She was predeceased by: her parents, Woodrow Cockrill and Ruth Cockrill; her husband Charles Sammuel Shaffer, Jr.; her son Bryan Allen Shaffer; and her sisters, Barbara Jean Cockrill and Phyllis Ann Martin.
She is survived by: her sons, Charles Sammuel Shaffer III (Donna) of Winchester, VA and Carl Nelson Austin (Michelle) of Berkeley Springs, WV; her grandchildren, Dianna, Sammuel, Kimberly Shaffer, Unity, Emily and Sky Austin; her great grandchildren, Addy Cook, Maddie Harden, Zachary Shaffer and Brayden Austin; and her sister Cora Lee Cockrill of Winchester, VA..
Visitation will be held on Wednesday, February 26th 2025 from 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM at the Amherst Chapel (1600 Amherst St, Winchester, VA 22601). A funeral service will be held on Wednesday, February 26th 2025 at 11:00 AM at the same location. A burial will be held on Wednesday, February 26th 2025 at the Mount Hebron Cemetery (305 E Boscawen St, Winchester, VA 22601).
