Julia Marie Springston Obituary
With solemn hearts, we announce the passing of Julia Marie Springston of Wilsons, Virginia, whose presence will be deeply missed, having departed on March 25, 2025. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
She was predeceased by: her parents, John Archer Hawkes and Mary Beth Hawkes (William Springston); her son William "Marvin" Springston; and her brothers, Bob and Tom Hawkes.
She is survived by: her children, Karen (Alex) and John Ray (Robin); her daughter-in-law Margaret; her sister Peggy (John); and her grandchildren, Melanie (Ray), Will (Melissa), Holly (Scott), Jessica (Josh) and Jeffrey (Taylor). She is also survived by many nieces, nephews and friends.
Visitation was held on Tuesday, April 1st 2025 from 5:00 PM to 7:00 PM at the Blackstone Chapel of Joseph McMillian Funeral Homes (1826 Cox Rd, Blackstone, VA 23824). A funeral service was held on Wednesday, April 2nd 2025 at 1:00 PM at the Grace United Methodist Church (1705 Cox Rd, Wilsons, VA 23894).
