He was predeceased by : his parents, Ewell Leonard Sutphin and Treva Gay Bolt Sutphin; and his brothers, Ray, David and Randy Sutphin.
He is survived by : his loving wife of 34 years, Fern Weeks Sutphin of Willis, Va; his son Brian Sutphin of Wytheville; his grandchildren, Laurel Leigh and Skylon Brent Sutphin of Hillsville; his sisters-in-law, Debbie Sutphin of Floyd and Betty Sutphin of Shippensburg, PA; and his siblings, Richard Sutphin (Ruby) and Marlene Compton (Cecil) of Floyd. He is also survived by many nieces, nephews, friends.
