He was loved and cherished by many people including: his parents, Duncan Stewart and Lola Stewart; his wife Brenda Joyce Hayes; his children, Laura Hayes Chalk (Jared Chalk) and Shanon Hayes (Suzanne); his grandchildren, Brayden and Taylor; his daughter Karen Morris (Ken); his grandchildren, Reed, Lindsay, Donald Faulkner (Susan) and Jason Faulkner; and his great grandchildren, Brianna, William, Kaleigh and Emily.

In lieu of flowers, the family requests that gifts be made to An Achievable Dream or International Cooperating Ministries (ICM).

“I have known Bill Hayes since the early 70's, . . I worked at the Hampton Police Dept. and needed a car. Chief Minetti introduced me to Bill and I bought a car from him. Bill was always so dedicated to his job and was respected by all who knew him. He loved his family and friends. He was such a great and honest car salesman.
