He is survived by: his wife Mamie Ruth Hitchens Blanton; his nieces and nephews, Lee Blanton, Mike Blanton, Hugh Hitchens, Michael Stewart, Sharon Blanton Smith, Paula Hitchens, Sheila Hitchens and Jenna Bailie; his great-nephew Alexander Hitchens; and his great-niece Grace Hitchens.
