We are sad to announce that on May 20, 2023, at the age of 91, Shirley Pauline Allen of Williamsburg, Virginia passed away. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.

She was predeceased by: her husband James Allen III; her daughter Linda "Claretha" Brooks; her parents, William Jones and Leora Jones; and her brothers, William Bernard Jones and Charles Earl Jones.

She is survived by: her children, George Edward Allen, Kerman "Alphonzo" Allen (Helen), Veranica "Selina" Jordan, Steven Ervin Allen (Ramona), James Allen IV and William Robert Allen (Karon); her cousins, Audrey Simpson, Helen Simpson and Edith Bowman; and her close friend Nancy Trautman. She is also survived by 21 grandchildren; 30 great-grandchildren; 16 great great-grandchildren.
