He was predeceased by: his parents, Sherman A. Jones and Viola Baker Jones; his wife Edith Mae Washington-Jones; and his sisters, Eudora Hawkins, Virginia Jones-Cox and Edith Jones-Tyler.
He is survived by: his sons, Sherman W. Jones Jr. and Ramon Jones; his grandchildren, William Hines (Tracey), Marcell Jones (Tamara), SheQuita Davis (Darryl), Sherman Jones III (Saraid) and Shemar Jones; his great grandchildren, Christian, Jessica, Gabrielle and Zavion; his close friend Lillian Taylor; and his goddaughter Patrice Boyd. He is also survived by nieces, nephews, and friends.
Viewing was held on Wednesday, February 19th 2025 from 11:00 AM to 12:00 PM at the Little Zion Baptist Church (8625 Pocahontas Trail, Williamsburg, VA 23185). A funeral service was held on Wednesday, February 19th 2025 at 12:00 PM at the same location.
