She was predeceased by: her husband Michael Sams; her parents, Burt Eldridge and Mildred Eldridge of Greensboro, NC; and her brother Burt Stratton Eldridge, III. She is survived by: her children, Chris Sams (Kimberlee), Mary Beth Moody (Aaron) and Martha Kelley Koenig (David); her grandchildren, Michael Sams, David Sams, Josie Koenig and Penny Koenig; and her sisters, Dorrie Williams and Ginah Butler (Paul). She is also survived by many nieces and nephews from both sides of her big family.
