Rosemary J. Allen Obituary

She was predeceased by: her parents, Thomas Morgan Jr. and Mary Piggott; her husband Ben Allen; her sisters, Evelyn "Deeda" Piggott-Travers, Shirleen "Weddy" Piggott-Walker, Thomasine "Tooty" Morgan and Carol Morgan; and her aunts, Maude Cowles and Shirley Palmer.
She is survived by: her close friend Voncile Parrott; her children, Connie Butler (Tyrone), Lawrence "Skinny" Jones, Horace "Zack" Jones Jr. and Terry "Mister" Jones; her grandchildren, Tynika "Tee Tec", LaTeshia, Alexis, Breon, Bronsen, Jeff Mercer and Jaterria Brickhouse; her great grandchildren, Ayden Erskines, Ari Mercer, Alonia, Eliza and A'Sha Nicole; her brothers, George "Noonie" Piggott (Amy), Ernest "Nat" James (Glendora) and Edward "Red" Piggott; her aunts, Gloria Tyler, Wyoma Carter Oliver and Vivian Morgan; and her siblings-in-law, Maggie Caples, Virgie Williams and Edward Allen Jr. (Natalie). She is also survived by nieces, nephews, cousins, and many caring friends.
Viewing will be held on Saturday, February 22nd 2025 from 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM at the Zion Baptist Church (6373 Richmond Rd, Williamsburg, VA 23188). A funeral service will be held on Saturday, February 22nd 2025 at 11:00 AM at the same location.
She was employed by the Colonial Williamsburg Foundation for forty-five years, retiring from Christiana Campbell Tavern on January 1, 2014.
