It is with deep sorrow that we announce the death of Rose Marie King (Williamsburg, Virginia), who passed away on February 17, 2025, at the age of 79, leaving to mourn family and friends. You can send your sympathy in the guestbook provided and share it with the family.
She was predeceased by: her parents, Daniel Webster King and Helen Jane Beverly King. She is survived by: her children, George Sutherlin, Jr. (Rachael) of Ft. Washington and Shannon Jones (Reggie) of Williamsburg, Virginia; her brother Abraham King (Rita) of Havelock; and her grandchildren, Carolyn, Ashanti Sutherlin, Kayla, Daniel Jones, Nathan and Nicholas Willie. She is also survived by many nieces, nephews, cousins and lifelong friends.
Viewing will be held on Friday, February 28th 2025 from 5:00 PM to 7:00 PM at the Whiting's Funeral Home (7005 Pocahontas Trail, Williamsburg, VA 23185). A celebration of life will be held on Saturday, March 1st 2025 at 12:00 PM at the Calvary Baptist Church - Saluda (3971 General Puller Hwy, Saluda, VA 23149).
Rose was a breast cancer survivor and member of the Virginia Breast Cancer Foundation – Peninsula Chapter, supporting others through their journeys.
