He was predeceased by: his parents, Roland Dean and Ruth L. Raver Stemen; and his wife Nesta Ann Reese. He is survived by: his sons, Douglas A. Stemen (Pamela) of Huntersville, NC and Bryan L. Stemen (Luly) of Stafford, VA; his granddaughters, Elisabeth Ann Lawson (Josh), Sophia Aurora Stemen and Meredith Bryn Stemen; and his great grandchildren, Tallulah Boone and Bellamy Grace Lawson.
