He was predeceased by: his parents, Preston L. Owens and Mary Elizabeth Taylor Owens. He is survived by: his wife Mary Bernice Owens; his siblings, Jesse Owens, Stanley Owens (Rhonda), Louise Holmes, Irene Pressey (Sherman), Juanita Rabsatt, Jacqueline Bogger (Dennis) and Rosalind Smith (Rudolph); his siblings-in-law, Freddie Wallace (Rosa) and Peggy Hopson (George); his godchildren, Ashley Wallace, Jada Walker and Kamyia Wallace; and his close friend Pervis Byrd. He is also survived by nieces, nephews, other loving relatives and friends.
