It is with deep sorrow that we announce the death of Queen Elizabeth Butcher of Williamsburg, Virginia, who passed away on October 10, 2024, at the age of 65, leaving to mourn family and friends. You can send your sympathy in the guestbook provided and share it with the family.
She was predeceased by: her parents, John Lyons and Roxie McCray; and her siblings, Ronnie McCray, James McCray Sr. and Flora McCray.
She is survived by: her husband Samuel Butcher Jr.; her daughters, Lashanda Coleman (Samuel) and Shanel McCray; her grandchildren, Demond Lawrence and Deshawn Coleman; her great grandchildren, Demarion Lawrence, Shaniyah Lawrence and Demontae Lawrence; and her siblings, Cindy Holloway, Tammie Quarles (Anthony), Phyllis Nelson, Denise McCray, Cassandra Washington, Lionel McCray, Woodrow McCray and Phillip McCray (April). She is also survived by nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends.
Viewing was held on Friday, October 18th 2024 from 4:00 PM to 6:00 PM at the Mt. Ararat Baptist Church (401 Franklin St, Williamsburg, VA 23185). A celebration of life was held on Saturday, October 19th 2024 at 11:00 AM at the same location.
