She was predeceased by: her parents, Calvin Leslie Edwards, Sr. and Pearl Apperson Edwards; her husband James W. Ball; and her siblings, Elizabeth Bever and Calvin L. Edwards, Jr..

She is survived by: her son Leslie Arnold Ball of Chicago; her sister Doris E. Saunders; her nieces and nephews, Nancy Saunders Cowan (David), Ann Saunders Sage (Russell), Melvin H. Saunders (Sylvia) and Calvin E. Saunders (Saundra); and her friend Nancy Gore (Ron).
