She was predeceased by : her parent Florence Florine "Flo" Gray; and her sister Kathy Palmer Kendall. She is survived by : her friend Sistas; her uncle James "Jimmy" Gray; her granddaughter Chakayla Spurlock; her daughters, Lisa Brown-Smith, Leslie Spurlock (Tanaka) and Latrelle Brown; her grandchildren, Lamesha Walker, Gregory Walker Jr. (Crystal), Courtney Brown, Chakira Spurlock, Cynese Spurlock, Xavier Phillips, Ja'lynn Brown and Kaiden Brown; her great grandchildren, Midori Walker, Aubrianna Brown, A'Mirra Lipscomb, Layla Walker and A'Nyse Lipscomb; her siblings, Joshua Palmer Jr., Lewis Bernard Palmer (Melissa), James A. Palmer and Carolyn Pugh (Zephaniah); her great-aunt Cora Jones; her great-uncle Frank Gray Sr.; her cousin Mary Watkins; and her close friends, Yvonne, Robbie, Anna, Olivette, Clara, Vickie, Michaela and Evelyn. She is also survived by several nieces, nephews, bonus children and grandchildren; and a host of other loving relatives and friends.

Viewing was held on Thursday, June 27th 2024 from 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM at the Bethel Restoration Center (6205 Richmond Rd, Williamsburg, VA 23188). A funeral service was held on Thursday, June 27th 2024 at 11:00 AM at the same location.
