She was predeceased by: her parents, George Carter and Gussie Eva Carter; her husband Richard Dabney; her son Ross Oneal Carter; and her brothers, Ronnie E. Carter, Robert Lynn Carter and Don Carter.
She is survived by: her children, Robin Johnson (Terrence) and Rosalind Carter; her stepchildren, Archer Dabney (Sala) and Jackie Bacus; her sisters, Lois Jones, Jaquelin Marrow (George) and Theresa Piggott; her aunt Hazel Pierce; her brother Louis Carter (Tywanna); her nephews, Paul Jordan, Louis Carter Jr. and Roderick Carter (Brooke); her caregivers, Maryvielle, Mia and Tammy Pam Saxby; and her close friend Maurice Tabb. She is also survived by loving nieces, nephews, other relatives, and friends.
Viewing was held on Monday, November 18th 2024 from 5:00 PM to 7:00 PM at the Whiting's Funeral Home (7005 Pocahontas Trail, Williamsburg, VA 23185). A funeral service was held on Tuesday, November 19th 2024 at 11:00 AM at the Cedar Street Baptist Church of God (2301 Cedar St, Richmond, VA 23223).
