She was predeceased by: her parents, Thomas Morris and Dorothy Marsh Morris; her sister Corrine "Sally" Holmes; and her children, Germaine Johnson, Loretta Briggs, Mona Briggs and Derrick Briggs.
She is survived by: her children, William Briggs III, Dorothy Parrott (Robert), Victoria White, Cecilia Johnson and Thomas Briggs. She is also survived by thirteen grandchildren, thirty-eight great-grandchildren, and seven great-great-grandchildren; and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, and close friends.
Viewing was held on Friday, October 18th 2024 from 5:00 PM to 7:00 PM at the Whiting's Funeral Home (7005 Pocahontas Trail, Williamsburg, VA 23185). A funeral service was held on Saturday, October 19th 2024 at 12:00 PM at the Chickahominy Baptist Church (2900 Chickahominy Rd, Toano, VA 23168). A burial was held on Saturday, October 19th 2024 at the New Quarter Baptist Church (1753 Penniman Rd, Williamsburg, VA 23185).
