It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Jan Willem Wierenga of Williamsburg, Virginia, who passed away on January 9, 2023, at the age of 86, leaving to mourn family and friends. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.

He was predeceased by: his wife Cathy B. Wierenga; his parents, Emil and Carolina; and his siblings, Joop, Miel, Onno and Patricia.

He is survived by: his sister Millie; his niece Millie (Holland) of Amsterdam; his daughter Dina; his son-in-law Bob; his grandsons, Bradley and Nathan Byrd; his granddaughter-in-law Michelle; and his great grandchild Mikayla.

In lieu of flowers, the family requests that donations be made to the Heritage Humane Society of Williamsburg.
